3 Takeaways From the Bulls Season

Three Takeaways from this Bulls season so far:

  1. Lonzo Ball is missed BIG TIME: The Bulls have enjoyed the leap Ayo Dosunmu has taken, but that doesn't mean they don't miss Lonzo Ball. He's the key to this engine. Otherwise, the Bulls get stuck in a stagnant offense switching iso plays between DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine. With Lonzo, the pace was significantly higher with everyone on the court touching the ball.

  2. Patrick Williams will be OK: If I force myself to forget PWill was the 4th overall pick in a draft that had Tyrese Haliburton sitting there waiting to be picked by the Bulls, then I'll admit PWill has grown A LOT since last season. His lack of aggression at times is still concerning, but he's slowly learning how to pick his spots even when LaVine and DeRozan are on the floor. I think the potential is still there, he just need to be more aggressive. Besides that, he's coming along nicely.

  3. Bulls need to make a trade ASAP: What exactly is the trade? That I do not know. Perhaps it's Myles Turner from Indiana to help the interior defense. Between Vooch and Drummond, the Bulls interior defense is nonexistent. Sure, their rebounding numbers look fine, but they're also giving up a lot of baskets. Perhaps it's a trade for Buddy Hield? He can walk into a sixth man role and bring up the Bulls 3pt shooting with his efficiency and high shooting volume. Whatever it is, this current team is stuck in limbo with or without Lonzo Ball.
