Derrick Rose Must Return To Chicago

The Prince of Chicago Must Return Home

D-Rose Unhappy in NYC Could Bring Him Back to Chicago

Every superhero has a fairytale ending to their story. For Chicago's very own, it could returning home after bouncing around the league the last few years. Rose's minutes have diminished in NYC with the appearance of Jalen Brunson. At the age of 34, D-Rose still has plenty to offer on the court even at a reduced role.

The Bulls, who are under .500, have struggled without their starting point guard Lonzo Ball. Goran Dragic has been great in limited minutes for the Bulls and Ayo Dosunmu has made a massive leap into his sophomore season, but the Bulls continue to struggle to find ways to win games. D-Rose doesn't solve any of this issues, don't get me wrong, but he will provide experience and energy off the bench.

Patrick Williams is NOT that guy

The way AKME were protecting Patrick Williams during the 2022 NBA trade deadline it seemed like they had a superstar in the making in their hands. They rejected trades that could've dramatically improved their team like Jerami Grant, who has the Blazers 3rd seed in the West. Fast forward to this year, Patrick Williams is averaging a career low 8.8 PPG after being FULLY healthy during the summer and training camp.

Look, it's not often a player will jump from 9 PPG his first two season up to 15 PPG, so I don't think many REALISTIC fans were thinking that would happen. BUT, anytime a player regresses the way Patrick Williams did so far this year, the writing is on the wall for his future in Chicago. It's sad but fans celebrate when this guy drops 10 points in a game like that's an accomplishment for a 3rd year player who was a top 5 pick.
